Admission in 2017 Starts By IGNOU:

Countries most reputed Open University has opened its door for the next session. Now the students are able to register in the university and can select their preferred course. So this is big news for the students who were waiting to get registered and study in IGNOU. Interested candidates can apply online via the official website of the varsity on or before December 6, 2016. IGNOU provides the various Under Graduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG), Diploma & Certificate course. Candidates can take the admission according to their eligibility & Interest in the course provided by the IGNOU. Candidates can seek in any of the 142 programs offered by the university. For aspiring candidates interested in pursuing studies through Distance learning, no other place is better than IGNOU across India.

There is a list of documents which is required to students for admissions:

  •  Scanned latest photograph (Maximum 100KB)
  •  Scanned latest Signature (Maximum 100KB)
  •  Scanned copy of age proof
  •  Scanned copy of your appropriate educational qualifications
  •  Scanned copy of experience certificate if any
  •  Scanned copy of category certificate; if applicable
  •  Scanned copy of your BPL certificate; if applicable

The application payment can be done by the students from Credit card, Net Banking, ATM, Debit Card. There are some rules made by IGNOU management that No candidate can apply for both PG & Certificate and UG & Certificate program through a Single Application Form. They have to submit separate Admission Form with a requisite fee. There is credit system also available in the university that is the University follows the ‘Credit System’ for most of its programs. Each credit in the system is equivalent to 30 hours of student study comprising all learning activities (i.e. reading and comprehending the print material, listening to audio, watching video, attending counseling sessions, teleconference as well as writing assignment responses). Thus, a 4-credit course involves approx. 120 hours of study. This helps the learner to know the academic effort he/she has to put in, to successfully complete a course. Completion of an academic program (Degree or Diploma) requires successful completion of the assignments, practical’s projects and the term-end examination of each course in a program.
