Management To Be Blamed For 1st Test Match Loss In Pune

PUNE: First test result had left the Indian cricket fans really shocked as Virat Kohli’s overconfident team rushed over the match. Australian team saw a victory by 333 runs under the captain-ship of young and industrious Steve Smith. The confidence of Indian cricket team went down when Steve O’Keefe and Nathan Lyon ran over all the ten wickets in the 2nd innings.

Many questions have been raised in the performance of the Indian cricket team because of the embarrassing scores of 105 and 107 in both the innings. Just a couple of months ago, our news was overfilled by the appreciation of Indian cricket team in Test cricket in the final test against England and now India has to face such a failure.

Now coming to the fault of management, MCA officials told that one of the senior members of the Indian team management was responsible for the poor condition of the pitch. It has been said that the grass of the pitch is getting dry and for those who are answerable are not working on the matter. As MCA refused to prepare a rank turner, a senior member of the team management team took the issue to the state association curator Pandurang Salgaonkar. When he also opposed, the matter was placed before the BCCI curators (Daljit Singh and Dhiraj Parsana; senior members of the BCCI pitches committee).

Officials said that the ground staff had been ordered to remove the grass from the pitch.Curator Pandurang Salgaonka said, “I had clearly warned the BCCI against preparing a bald and dry pitch. I don’t want to take names, but I had told them if they continue to water the pitch and don’t stop removing grass from it, then it would damage the pitch. This brought BCCI organization into light.

It is easy to blame others and save oneself, as everyone is blaming others and none of them is ready to admit their mistake and work on this issue. Well the the hero of the Indian cricket team responded over the issue and said, “We just didn’t play good cricket. They exploited it better than us. They put us under pressure throughout and deserved to win this game. There are no excuses.”

He said “These people(ISIS) are well-educated youngsters. Members of ISIS have a great survey of India’s development. They have information regarding education, health, and other departments and everything else. They have a keen interest in India. After spending a lot of time there I just understood that they wanted to spread the ideology of their nation across the world, including India.”

Dr. kosanam said, “Efforts were also made by the ISIS men to make all the people follow Islam and wanted to convert  us to Islam but we were not extensively forced. “People from various religions were made to offer Muslim prayers five times a day and they were very particular and serious about people following their religious practices. I was also made to follow the same even after knowing the fact that I am a Hindu.”

Though he was not physically tortured, Dr Kosanam was verbally abused. He was forced to perform surgeries in hospitals inside ISIS strongholds. After he refused, mentioning his health issues, Kosanam was put to jail. In his statement, he said, In a camp in Libya they requested me to come and work in there hospitals. But as I was 61, and I had several health issues, I told them that I was not perfectly trained, consequently I had to face many attacks by them. Chandigarh May face Liquor Prohibition From 1st April

Chandigarh may face complete liquor ban from 1 April. Each liquor shop in the city whether it is small shop , a five star hotel, a restaurant or a vend is staring this closure from 1 April after the December judgement of supreme court on closure of liquor ban on state highway and national highway comes into effect.

The reason behind this step is that the all major roads within the city are state highway and fall under the bounds of judgement.  The cataloging of roads was done around 20 years ago so that the city administration could easily maintain these roads with the municipal corporation short of fund at time. But as of now all the major roads in the city are state highways excepting one national highway that passes through the city.
After SC judgement in December it was decided by the official to declare all the major roads as state highway so that it could be maintained by Union Territory’s engineering department instead of municipal corporation.

In December last year supreme court banned all the States and union Territory from granting licences on the sale of liquor within 500 metre of area along national and state highway. And this action was taken to stop the drink and drive accident cases across the country because it was noted that the main reason behind the large percentage of road accidents in our country is ” Drink and Drive.”

Chandigarh is not the only city taking this action on liquor ban cities like Gurugram are also starting this ban where many hotels may not be able to sell liquor  within the city after 1 April , due to its property’s location. But the city faces a far more complexity and other major issues due to its design.

In Chandigarh the sectors are 1.2 KM  long and 0.8 KM wide, and with all the vertical roads as being state highway , 500 metres on either side of the road covers the whole of the city. Thus as a result all sector within the state  come with a 500 meter state highway, said Anurag Aggarwal, Home secretary , who is holding the charge of excise and taxation in the city.

Anurag Aggarwal also said, “All of the stores will have to close down, If nothing is done, the entire  city  will not have any liquor vend or bar in any hotel or restaurant”. Now, the UT administration has set up a four member committee comprising of  UT chief engineer, chief architect, MC chief engineer, and additional excise and taxation commissioner are there  to suggest definite solutions. Also the committee will have to submit its report within a week. to wriggle out of the unprecedented situation.

At this moment agarwal says he can’t say what is the solution to this predicament is?? He said we will hope the committee brings up the solution and we will take call after that.
By this action city bar and restaurant are in a state of panic and taking up the issues with different authorities. Vipul Dua, an owner of prominent bar and restaurant said ,” we are in the state of crises, and we are in a hope that administration is able to find some solution. We are waiting for the next hearing of supreme court which is on 28 Feb.

Airtel To Drop Domestic Roaming Charges Due To Jio

Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio is a giving tough time to all the Indian top telecom companies. India’s major telecom, Airtel may soon drop its roaming charges on its network for voice and the data services. This move comes by Airtel because of its new competitor in the market, Reliance Jio, which also promises to keep domestic voice calls free to all the networks. The country’s largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel has decided to do away the roaming charges for its voice as well as data services to benefit its 268-million customer base.

According to a report in Economic Times said, referencing its sources that in the ongoing dispute with the Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel has been gearing up to offer incoming calls and SMSes on national roaming free of cost. This leading Indian telecom company has also been working to simplify activation and billing for the customers who often travel overseas so that it will benefit the Airtel in maintaining its subscriber base and to motivate them to use its international roaming packs. Further, this move may force the rival Vodafone India and Idea Cellular to follow the same to protect their market and the subscriber base. The Jio’s free voice calls and data offers, which also includes free roaming has become a scary nightmare for all the telecom companies in India.

Bharti Airtel reported a huge 55% plunge in the net profit in the December quarter and it’s the worst of it in the last four years. The Idea Cellular accounted its first time ever net loss ever since listing in 2007. Airtel’s move to free roaming charges comes as Jio has announced that it will start charging users from April 1 at the very low rates. The Bharti Airtel is also facing a potential threat from the Idea-Vodafone merger apart from Jio. In the next few months, it will be very interesting to see that which telecom company is going to become the new king of the market.
