It all started when Akash’s family took a good initiative by putting Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) on his sister’s wedding card a few days ago. He took to twitter to share about this initiative and tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in it. “Dear @narendramodi, My dad specifically wanted the @swachhbharat logo to be there on my sister’s wedding invitation, hence got it. @PMOIndia,” Akash Tweeted. After posting his tweet, many of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) leaders retweeted his post and appreciated him for his dignified work.
But, the main surprise came when Prime Minister Narendra Modi retweeted the tweet of Bengaluru-based entrepreneur Akash and started following him on Twitter. It was a huge moment for the young entrepreneur and he showered his happiness through his tweets after PM Modi’s retweet. “The moment when your ‘Member of Parliament’ appreciates the initiative. Thanks a lot. Tweets do come true! Never thought that this will happen in real 🙂 Honored to be followed back by Modiji,” Akash Jain tweeted. Akash took to twitter to show his cheerfulness and also said that PM Modi is an inspiration to him and his dad as well. He tweeted, “What a moment. PM @narendramodi Ji retweeted my tweet & followed me back on twitter. Modi Ji has been an inspiration to my dad as well.”
The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched on October 2, 2014, by the Prime Minister with an aim to promote cleanliness and eliminate open defecation by 2019. According to the information shared by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on twitter, a total of 34,879,320 toilets has been built up in the households. It’s a mass movement in India to promote cleanliness. PM Narendra Modi also said that over 100 districts across the country have become open defecation free (ODF).
The young Bengaluru-based entrepreneur Akash Jain said that they were planning to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) and then they got the idea of promoting through wedding card. “My dad has been following an initiative of Prime Minister Modi from long. When the wedding was planned, he wanted to do something so he thought, why not use the wedding card as the medium to promote the clean India drive,” Akash told ANI. He also said that just took a random picture of his sister’s wedding card and tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but never imagined that he would retweet my tweet and follow me back. “One of the most followed people follows me. Nothing can be much bigger than this.” added Aakash.
