Ahmedabad University And CEPT Approved for 50% Under All India Quota Admission

Two university of Gujarat state i.e Ahmedabad and Cept University got apporval from the state government to admit 50% of the students under all India Quota. It means the opportunity for the other state student is Increased.

B M Shah, The registrar of Ahmedabad University said to the reporters that there proposal to admit the 50% students under all India quota has been approved. Gujarat government granted them the permission to fill up the 50% seats under all India quota. And the other 50% will be filled by the JEE and NRI quota with 35% and 15% respectively.

Offical announcement has been made by the Cept and Ahemdabad University that for this academic session that they will be admiting 50% the students from all over the country for the Bachelors degree of Interior designing, Construction Technology and architecture program. The opportunities for the other state students increased because the admission quota of the students of other has increased to 50%.

Interested students if eligible can easily apply from all over India, As the seats will be given on the merit basis only which will not include the NRI and management quota.

The eligibility criteria for different courses are different as per AICTE rules are different:

For the Bachelors in Achitecture course minimum marks requirement is

  • 50% For General (Aggregate of all Subjects)
  • 45% for SEBC/SC/ST

Or a 10+3 Diploma course from any recognized, Central or State government. And the student must have passed the qualifying  exam either with Statistics, Mathematics or Business Mathematics as one subject.

-And for the Bachelors in Construction Technology minimum qualification required is that student should have passed the qualifying exam with Mathematics and Physics as an essential subjects and minimum aggregate with Biology or Chemistry or Computer or Biotechnology as an optional subject. And the minimum marks requirement is

  • 50% For General (Aggregate of all Subjects)
  • 45% for SEBC/SC/ST

In Bachelors of Interior Design its mandatory for the students to pass the qualifying exam taking Mathematics and Physics as a prior subject where as taking Biology or Chemistry or Computer or Biotechnology as an optional subject. And possessing the minimum marks

  • 50% For General (Aggregate of all Subjects)
  • 45% for SEBC/SC/ST
In Bachelors Planning course students have to qualify the exam with minimum passing marks and have to take Statistic or Mathematics  or Business Mathematics and English as mandatory subjects. And minimum marks requirement is

  • 50% For General (Aggregate of all Subjects)
  • 45% for SEBC/SC/ST

Or a 10+3 Diploma course from any recognized, Central or State government. And the student must have passed the qualifying  examination.
