Las Vegas is Witnessing Electric Daisy Carnival Festival

June 16 marked the start of the 3 day Electric Daisy Carnival festival in Las Vegas. This is the 21st ECD festival in Las Vegas. EDC brings artists and fans together from all around the world for three days of incredible sights and sounds and EDC 2017 will be no different. The Las Vegas Strip, nicknamed Electric Daisy Lane this week, was the focal point for attendees ahead of the festival’s kick-off.

The organisers of EDC 2017 are leaving no stone unturned to make EDC Las Vegas a successful festival this year too. To make any festival successful, safety of the audience is more important and keeping a deadly terrorist attack struck a concert in England few days back  in mind, organisers of EDC 2017 are reminding attendees to report any suspicious activity they might witness during the event.

Police in Las Vegas say no threats have been identified against the Electric Daisy Carnival. Still, organizers want the tens of thousands of festivalgoers who will begin to gather Friday evening to be alert to their surroundings and reach out to security if something seems amiss.

“They really have to speak up if something doesn’t look or feel right,” Maren Steiner, the director of health and safety for organizer Insomniac Events, told The Associated Press. “I would rather send our law enforcement to investigate 100 incidents that turn out to be nothing.”

The annual festival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway has drawn more than 135,000 people a night in previous years. More than 230 musicians are set to perform this weekend, including Alison Wonderland, Diplo, Jauz, Marshmello, Tiesto and Martin Garrix.

Here is the list of seven things that you should do if you are attending EDC 2017

EDC Las Vegas will have a heatwave going on this weekend. Cool off and enjoy some sweet frozen treats with Buzz Pop Cocktails with one of their 8 stands this weekend.

  • Take a photo in front of the Kinetic Field

Pasquale Rotella talked about how amazing this year’s Gaia main stage will look. Get there early to take a great picture before the stage becomes filled with people.

  • Need to take a break? Chill out in the Ground Control Oasis

Over at the Ground Control Oasis, feel free to talk with Ground Control staff about anything with their Project #Opentalk. Get to know these amazing humans who are there to help you stay happy, hydrated, and healthy. You can also just relax in an air conditioned room.
