West Bengal Group D and Clerk Posts Results Declared at westbengalssc.com


WBSSC (West Bengal School Service Commission) has released Group D and Clerk result of the written examination. As both the exams was held in this year only on the month of February and March.

The West Bengal Commission conducted the written exams on following days:

  • exam for Group D posts was held on 19th February
  • exam for Clerk posts was held on 5th March

The WBSSC Group D result has been released in the official website of the West Bengal Commission and the candidates can check WBSSC Clerk and Group D result in the official website of commission by entering the 14-digit roll number provided by the commission to the every candidate who appeared in the exam.

In all total the vacancies for the clerk was 1707 and for the group- D staff was 3216, and this whole was divided into different regions as following:

On 8th August, 2016 WBSSC had published the advertisement to fill the posts of Non-Teaching Staff i.e. Clerk and Group-D staff in Schools under the Commission . And the test is named as 3rd Regional Level Selection Test 2016 (RLST-NT).

There are total 4,923 vacancies to be filled under WBSSC this year.  As the post of Non-Teaching Staff was conducted for filling Clerk and Group-D Staff (Peon, Laboratory Attendant, Night Guard, Matron, Helper) posts in recognized non-government aided/ Sponsored/ Junior High/ Secondary/ Higher Secondary Schools in West Bengal against the vacancies available under the W.B. School Service Commission.

The candidates are selected on the basis of written examination followed by a personality test. For the clerical post the written exams was conducted on 5th March 2017. The written exam consisted of 60 marks and in addition to it 10 marks will be awarded by the commission on the basis of academic qualification, which includes personal qualification too. 3,414  candidates will be selected on the basis of both the marks.

The personality test will be conducted to screen the candidates for typing and computer proficiency. The personality test carries total weight-age of 30 marks, hence the final selection will be made out of maximum 100 marks.

Group D posts written exam consisted of 45 marks only, and 5 marks was based on the personality test of the candidates. Based on the notified number of vacancies, 6,432 candidates will be called for the personality test.  Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for the personality test who have qualified the written exam.
