NEET Online Counselling 2017, Starts From July 17th in Punjab


NEET counselling result has been released in the official website, Students who were eagerly waiting for the National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 can download their respective allotment letter.

Students can download their allotment letter from the official website of NEET Punjab 2017. Students by logging into their personal panel and entering required information like roll number date of birth etc can download their allotment letter from the official website.

Punjan, NEET 2017 have 975 seats in Bachelor of medicine and Bachelor of surgery (MBBS) seats. So, the process has been carried by the council to fill those seats. As their are thirteen Dental colleges across Punjab in which 1030 seats are available for bachelors degree of Dental Surgery (BDS).

The counseling schedule of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2017, Punjab has been released has been released for the All India quota seats. And the counselling for NEET 2017 will start from July 3 onwards. And at the sametime, in Punjab the counseling will begin from July 17.

On June 27, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences released its admission schedule and it is said that admissions to colleges are done on the basis of NEET scores.

All the general candidates need to deposit Rs 5,000. And Rs 2,500 for scheduled caste candidates, in the university account in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) or State Bank of India (SBI) through a challan after that only the online application from the candidates can be submitted.

Every thousands of students apply for the said courses and this year as per the information, This year, a total of 11, 38,890 students appeared for NEET examination and nearly 6.11 lakh candidates have qualified the exam by clearing it. The was conducted in 10 different languages across 1,921 exam centres including 1,522 NRIs, 480 OCIs, 70 PIOs and 613 foreign students.

This year, Punjab’s Navdeep Singh has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 rank by scoring 697 marks in the male category. Meanwhile, in the female category, Nikita Goyal emerged as topper from the same state.

  • Reservation of seats for NRIs:
  1. In total, about 15 per cent seats have been reserved for NRIs in all private institutes and Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot.
  2. 1 August 2017, is the last date for NRI students to complete the application process.
  3. About 13 seats each have been reserved in Government Medical College, Patiala and Amritsar, along with three seats in Government Dental College, Amritsar, and four in Patiala.
  • Punjab University (NEET) 2017 Important dates :
  1. Last date to apply:  11 July, 2017.
  2. Provisional list of candidates: 16 July, 2017.
  3. First round of counselling:  from 17 July to 21 July, 2017.
  4. Second counselling:  from 8th August to 13th August, 2017 and the result will be released on 18th August, 2017.
  5. Final Results: 24 July, 2017.
