Sharath, 28, who was assaulted by unknown men in B.C. road on Tuesday, was stated dead at a private hospital here on Friday. The owner of Udaya Laundry at B.C. Road after getting ready to go home after completing the day’s work when he was attacked by some unknown men with razor-sharp weapons. This incident increased the tension in Mangaluru-Bantwal region, which was under chaos since about a month after attacks and counterattacks on religious grounds.
It is said that Sharath to be a volunteer of RSS and the Sangh Parivaar has accused the government of not taking action forces working against it. Prior to the day, the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the government will not accept any kind of anti-social elements to take the law into their own. The CM was speaking with the reporters on arrival at the Mangaluru International Airport to take part in Congress convention here. Siddaramaiah added that the government will take strict actions against any kind of anti-social elements. He also said that any organization focusing to upset the harmony in the society will not succeed.
