Akshay Kumar and Bhoomi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has become the victim of Piracy. Film Piracy is nothing new in Bollywood; there are many other films that have also faced the problem of Piracy before their release. Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has leaked online and the star himself turns to twitter to announce this unfortunate incident. Along with announcing the news of film piracy on twitter, he also urges audience to say no to piracy and said that it is just the matter of couple of weeks and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha will be out in the theaters so people are insisted on to wait for few more days when they’ve waited for so many.
Here is the whole statement that Akshay Kumar wrote on his twitter handle:
“The fight against piracy is critical and it’s reassuring to see the swift action taken by the Crime Branch on the unfortunate incident involving our film Toilet – Ek Prem Katha. I would like to urge my friends, colleagues, fans and audiences to please say no to piracy. Thank you all for your support.”
If reports are to be believed then Dance Choreographer Remo D’Souza was the first person who came to know about the film leak. He was the first one to watch the leaked movie online and he immediately informed the directors about the piracy. In an interaction with Indian Express he also revealed that, he met someone who said that he has the entire movie in the pen drive
Before this film, film like Manjhi and Udtta Punjab has also met the same fate and which affected the films business drastically.
