Leaving Lalu behind, Nitish to Form Government with BJP

Trapped in the case of Benami properties, Lalu and his son, Tejasvi Yadav refused to give resignation from the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Refusal of Tejasvi Yadav to give any resignation forced Nitish Kumar to take this step, Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister on Wednesday.

After all this resignation game, late at night Nitish Kumar met the governor of the state and claimed to make a new government. On the other hand RJD supremo Lalu Prasad also named Tejasvi Yadav as the leader of the RJD legislature party. Later Tejasvi Yadav took the twitter handle to announce that he will also form another government.

In the joint meeting of the BJP and JDU at the Chief Minister’s residence, Nitish Kumar was has appointed as the new leader of the party. After this, Nitish Kumar, along with some NDA leaders, went to Raj Bhavan and claimed to form the government. According to the sources, a list of 14 NDA legislators has been formed for the new cabinet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present in the Chief Minister’s swearing on Thursday.

After resigning from the coalition government, Nitish Kumar took oath as CM for the sixth time in the state on Thursday. Apart from them, BJP leader Sushil Modi became Deputy CM. Governor of Bihar Kesarinath Tripathi administered oath to both of them. After the swearing-in, Prime Minister Modi sent his best wishes to both of them through twitter account.

With this, he wished Bihar’s bright future. Union Minister JP Nadda and BJP’s National General Secretary Anil Jain also attended the function.

After taking oath of Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar said, “I have taken a decision in the interest of Bihar, I will answer everybody at the right time.” Deputy CM Sushil Modi said that development is our priority; Bihar will be taken to the new heights now.

After forming government with BJP, Rahul Gandhi targeted Nitish Kumar for making government with BJP. In a conversation with reporters, Rahul said that I had met Nitish Kumar a few months ago. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘I already knew that this is being cooked. From past  three- four months all this was going on. These people can do anything to remain in power.
After resigning, Nitish Kumar had said, the situation that were becoming in Bihar, it was difficult to work. In such a situation, it was necessary to take these steps. He further said that now the new chapter will start in Bihar’s politics.

Attacking back on Nitish Kumar said that, all this was pre planned, Nitish Kumar has betrayed me, Bihar’s population had voted for this great alliance to work in Bihar for next five years but unfortunately it didn’t happen.

Resignation Drama in detail

06:35pm: On Wednesday Nitish handed over his resignation to Governor “We played a coalition religion, but in today’s circumstances, it was difficult for me to work. We did not ask for resignation but for explanation on the allegations that Tejasvi and Lalu are facing these days.

07:09pm:  Narendra Modi congratulated Nitish on his resignation on the tweet Said- “Congratulations to Mr. Nitish Kumar for joining the fight against corruption. Hundreds of crores of citizens are welcoming and supporting honesty. To fight above the political differences, especially for the bright future of Bihar, fight against corruption, is the demand of country and time. Amit Shah also spoke on the phone. The meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Board was held.

07:30pm: Lalu organised a press conference and Said- “Nitish is accused in a murder case of 1991 under section 302. All these (Nitish’s resignation) had already been set up with BJP. “When Lalu told Nitish as an accused in the murder case, Nitish said that Lalu did not tell that the High Court has already put stay on this matter.

09:10pm: Bihar BJP leader Sushil Modi announced the support of NDA to Nitish Kumar. Said- We announced to support Nitish Kumar. The NDA will support them. We will also inform the governor about this. NDA is ready to accept Nitish as its leader in Bihar.

10:11pm: Lalu Yadav tweeted: “A record breaking majority in Bihar was against the BJP. Now with the support of the same BJP, Nitish will run the government and establish a record of ethics. Nitish, who has given sake of morality and corruption, should come to the polls. He will come to know how much people will support him in this battle of ethics.

10:32pm: BJP hands over letter to the governor to support Nitish. After the leader was elected, Nitish invited BJP Leaders to dinner. Nitish asked time from Governor Kesari Nath Tripathi to form a new government. On the other hand, the governor was admitted late in the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science.
