Kerala TET Examination 2017 Hall Tickets Released


2017 Kerala TET hall tickets has been released today (1st August) in the official website the test is scheduled to commence from 12th August. The Board of Public Examinations – Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan will be conducting Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET 2017) on 12th and 19th August. As the test will be held in four shifts on these two days, the applicants are required to carry Kerala TET 2017 hall ticket with them to their respective test venue.

Students can download their respective hall tickets from the official website, Students by entering their roll number and other required details can easily download their hall ticket for 2017 TET exam.

From July 3 to 22, online registration process was carried by Kerala Pareeksha Bhawan after an extension in the last date. As per the schedule provided by Pareeksha Bhavan, the hall tickets will be issued from 1st August onwards to all the eligible applicants. The conduct of TET examination is being done as per the regulations framed by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The Right to Education Act mentions that the persons recruited as teachers should compulsorily possess certain aptitude, ability and hence, the conduct of TET provides the basic framework for recruitment of teachers.Kerala TET 2017 will be conducted as four different papers, distributed among applicants as four categories:

  • The Category I paper will be for those applicants who wish to teach Lower Primary Classes (Class I to V)
  • The Category II is for Upper Primary Classes

Both these papers will be conducted on 12th August in two separate shifts. Category I paper will be from 10 am to 12.30 pm, followed by Category II paper from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.

While most of the State governments conduct TET examination for only two categories, Kerala TET is conducted for four categories:

  • The Category III applies for High School Classes
  • The Category IV paper is only for the Language Teachers – Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to Upper Primary Classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Craft) and Physical Education Teachers

Category III & IV papers will be conducted from 11 am to 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 4 pm respectively on 19th August. As per the basic structure, all four papers under Kerala TET 2017 will comprise of 150 multiple choice questions, while the pattern differs for each category. Also, the difficulty level of question paper is as per the requirement of a particular category. Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking. The candidates scoring 60 percent or above marks in Kerala TET will be declared qualified.
