In October 2017 JKBOSE To Conduct Class 10th And 12th Board Exams

Farooq Ahmad Shah, Secretary School education said that the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has decided to hold 10th and 12th class board exams from the last week of October. Asper recently information of media, “The annual class 10, 12 Board of School Education (BOSE) exams will be held from last week of October.”

Mr. Shah further said that on relief to the lower attendance of students, there will be no relaxation given to the students who have below 90% Attendance. Such students would not be able to sit for the Board exams. Mr. Shah also asked the parents to encourage their children to be present in their classes on the regular basis.

While in a review meeting at Bemina in BOSE, he spoke to media , he said, “BOSE has been asked to finalize preparations for class 10 and 12 annual exams and any student with less than 90 percent attendance won’t be allowed to sit in exams.”

On 28th August 1975 J&K BOSE was founded and its Headquarter is situated at Srinagar. The school education board in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir is a self-governing body under the management of the state government of Jammu and Kashmir.

  • The Board employs approximately 22,300 teachers to carry out the academic work.

The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education is the chief board of school education of Jammu and Kashmir. While describing the manner, Shah told, “The shortage list will be issued by the end of September and registration forms of students falling under shortage cases will be called back by the school authorities,”  the Board has been advised to be welcoming to the concerns of the students who approach the authorities with their problems. BOSE has been strictly asked to hold fair exams and to take stern actions towards the students who choose to copy or cheat in exams centres.

He also further added that, “We are receiving reports of mass copying in exam centres as no stern action has been taken against the students or staff. Strict action should be take by the BOSE so that students refrain from such activities.”

Mr. Shah put emphasis on saying, Advising the Board officials, “When a student fails in exams he is in the state of frustration and BOSE officials should treat them with affection and address their grievances.”

JKBOSE was designated as the 2nd ‘Futuristic School Board’ of India in 2017 among 35 boards across the Country, two days ago, Ahmad Shah assembled a meeting to evaluate the functioning of JKBOSE, mainly the exam and assessment activities. The meeting was educated regarding the development and accomplishment of JKBOSE.

Ahmad Shah on this auspicious occasion said that the institution is associated with quality education. He stressed onto BOSE officials to take on best practices to make sure the students do not face any trouble while appearing in National Level Examinations.

He even directed BOSE officials and said, “Evaluation staff should not be repeated and persons with positive credentials should be engaged for evaluation activities.” “Action will be taken against examiners who are involved in allowing mass copying. Any official in BOSE found involved in corruption won’t be spared,” he warned.
