Day 1: More than 500 Passengers Stuck inside Lucknow Metro Today

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Home Minister Rajanath Singh flagged off the first Lucknow Metro yesterday. More than 500 passengers were stuck inside the Lucknow Metro today on the first day of its commercial launch.

The passengers were stuck in the Metro for more than an hour. There was no air conditioning and no lights in the metro when the train stopped near Mavaiya. Most Passengers panicked because they wanted to catch a flight, But due to the technical snag, they were likely to miss their flights.

A team of Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) reached to rescue the passengers. The Passengers were taken through the emergency exit. The LMRC team took more than 20 minutes to check technical fault. An LMRC official said that ‘There was some fault in this traction and we are working on it. Rest all trains are running on the other parallel track’.

The team is sending an other Metro train at the spot to rescue the passengers. All other trains are running normally except the one. The metro line covers total 08 stations.
