Honeypreet Singh, the ‘adopted daughter’ of rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim, claims her life is beneath threat from drug syndicates in Haryana and Punjab, according to ANI report.
In an antecedent bail plea, she filed within the Delhi tribunal on Monday, She conjointly said that “she could be a single girl with clean antecedents, is law permanent and willing to hitch the investigation” into the Dera Sacha Sauda chief UN agency was last month sentenced to twenty years in jail.
On Tuesday, at 2 pm, Honeypreet’s bail plea was scheduled to be detected. Since 25 August once Ram Rahim was taken to judicial custody after being guilty of rape, She has been on the run as the various groups of Haryana Police has travelled across the country, together with the Indo-Nepal border, in search of her.
Since Tuesday morning, Haryana Police has been conducting raids across Delhi and NCR during a bid to arrest Honeypreet, alias Priyanka Taneja, UN agency crack the list of 43 persons ‘wanted’ by the Haryana Police in reference to incidents of deadly violence that followed Ram Rahim’s conviction in 2 rape cases.
A day earlier, a court in Panchkula, Haryana, issued arrest warrants against Honeypreet, and 2 different Ram Rahim aides, Aditya Insan and Pawan Insan.
At the same time, on Monday Ram Rahim moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court challenging the trial court’s conviction and sentencing.
