Arunachal Pradesh: Indian Army Operating base got Attacked

Today on Arunachal Pradesh militants fired on the Army camp at Longding suspect “At 01:15 hrs at the Army’s Company Operating Base in Longding at Niausa, Arunachal Pradesh, A firing incident reported approximately,” one Army official said.

As per the current report, it was an ineffective fire and the contact was broken immediately on retaliation. There are no casualties.

As per the Police sources, it is assumed that the attack was likely to have been carried out by National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Khaplang (NSCN-K) members.

Col Chiranjeet Konwer told that “at 1:15 a.m the insurgents fired 5-10 rounds from “ineffective” small firearms and lobbed a Lathode grenade at the COB at Niausa in Longding district, Kohima-based defence.” He further added that “the sentries retaliated and the attackers fled.” the attacker’s operations were on to nab, he said.

“The retaliatory fire had to be controlled there was no human casualty or damage to property of the COB, keeping in mind the safety of the villagers in the vicinity,” the spokesman said.
