2017 AFCAT 2 exam is about to release today (Friday) on the official website, Indian Air Force (IAF) recently released a notice announcing AFCAT result date, as per the given notice it has been mentioned by the Indian Air Force (IAF) that the AFCAT r result 2017 will be announced on October 13 at 12:00 hours. So the aspirants who were eagerly waiting for the result can check it from the official website.
In just a few minutes from now, AFCAT 2 2017 result will be out at 12 pm, AFCAT exam was held in August/ September as the result is going to be released soon by IAF, Till that time let us know the expected cut off marks.
Every year thousands of students appear for the said exam and this year also in lakhs candidates have applied for the same the candidates should check the AFCAT result list, once the results are officially announced.
Once a candidate finds there roll number in the given log or roll number list then-candidate by using email id & password and logging into their per account should to select the venue & date for further testing at one of the AFSBs. The window will remain open until October 19.
On August 27 AF had conducted Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 02/ 2017) followed by the supplementary test on September 17. Those candidates scoring marks more than AFCAT cut off (to be announced by IAF) will be required to appear for further rounds of selection.The AFCAT result will be announced in the form of pdf file containing the roll numbers of qualified candidates.
The finally shortlisted candidates will be inducted in Flying, for the:
- Technical Duty branches of Indian Air Force
- And Ground Duty branches of Indian Air Force
AFCAT is conducted every year by IAF for the grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent/ Short Service Commission in Ground Duty (Non-technical branches).
The Expected cut off for AFCAT 2 2017 exam should be the following:
- 150 to 155 marks for AFCAT
- And 58 to 62 for EKT paper
Remarkably, the cut off marks for AFCAT paper has been on the rise for past two papers. As the cut off rose dramatically in two papers of 2015, the first paper of 2016 witnessed slight decrease. Induction requirements of IAF, and statistics of reporting and success rate at AFSBs, AFCAT cutoff marks will be based on candidates performances.
The Selection will be based on AFCAT Result 2017 and air force selection board (AFSB) Rounds. And the review of cut-off marks recorded in past 5 AFCAT papers & EKT papers are as following:
- On October 13 AFCAT 2 result 2017 will be announced and the aspirants who are declared qualified in the written exam will have to choose their Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) for interview and SSB.
IAF said in the notice of AFCAT result 2017 that “The allotment of seats will be on first come first serve basis. The first batch of SSB would be available from 30 October onward. Therefore, in order to get AFSB of your choice, you are advised to choose AFSB center as soon as possible and latest by 2359 hrs on 19 October without fail”.
Such candidates are assigned to do the following:
- Candidates have to take the printout of Call Up Letter
- Candidates have to take the associated forms from the official website
- Candidates have to report to the selected venue with AFCAT admit card, call up letter, documents as listed in the call up letter and associated forms duly filled.
IAF will hold further testing for qualified candidates at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB’s) at
For the candidates selecting the flying branch can opt for Dehradun, Mysore or Varanasi. The candidates will have to undergo from:
- Document verification
- Group Tests
- And Interview.
For Flying Branch, Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be administered at AFSB. The final merit list depending on the number of vacancies available in various branches/ sub-branchesCandidates recommended by the AFSBs and declared medically fit will be detailed for training if the candidates qualify, In the first week of January 2018 IAF will hold the training for all courses.
At Air Force Training Establishments:
- The duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks
- The duration of training for the Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches is 52 weeks
