UGC NET 2017 Admit Card Has Been Released, Check Now

2017 UGC NET admit card has been released on the official website, So the candidates who were eagerly waiting for it can now easily download it.

Candidates by entering into their personal panel and entering their application number and password can easily download UGC NET admit card, the candidates will have to get the printout of the admit card to appear for the National Eligibility Test. The applicants are required to get UGC NET admit card to know their exam center details. UGC has officially announced that admit card is must for all and no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without it.

UGC NET examinations are held twice in a year, and each time students in the number of thousands appear for the NET exam and in this session candidates in lakhs have registered themselves. CBSE will administer 2017 UGC NET EXAM at over one thousand centers in 91 NET exam cities spread across the Country.

CBSE will conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) on the behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for determining the eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship. UGC NET admit card for November 2017 examination is set to be released this week, as per the official words from the examination conducting authority – the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

UGC NET 2017 exam is scheduled to be held on 5th November and hence the admit card will be made available to all the applicants within this week only, most probably in a day or two, as per the schedule followed by CBSE for past UGC NET exams, the admit cards should be issued at least 20 days prior to the exam date.

The National Eligibility Test covers total 84 subjects and will be conducted as three separate papers:

  • Paper 1 will consist of 50 questions, each having 2 marks and will be conducted from 9.30 am to 10.45 am. The questions will be to test the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidates.
  • Paper 2 will also consist of 50 questions based on the subject chosen by the applicants. The paper will be conducted from 11.15 am to 12.30 pm.
  • Paper 3 will consist of 75 subject-specific questions and will be conducted from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.

The candidates will have to mark the answers of all three papers in OMR sheet. The candidates will have to report at their respective exam center 2 hours 30 minutes prior to the commencement of exam. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam center/ hall after the commencement of exam.

This year, the qualification criteria were changed by UGC for NET exam. The minimum qualifying marks (aggregate) are 40% for General and 35% for others in all 3 papers taken together. Top 6 percent of the candidates appeared in all three papers will be declared NET qualified by CBSE.
