SSC CGL Tier 1 2017 Result Released, Check your Result now

2017 Staff Selection Commission (SSC) results of the combined graduate level (CGL) examination has been released on the official website, aspirants who were eagerly waiting for the result can download it from the official website, Staff Selection Commission was held in August.

SSC 2017 result has been released, so the candidate can by logging into the official website and entering there roll number and date of birth can know their respective SSC 2017 result.

Every year thousands of students appear for the said examinations, and this year 15,43,418 candidates had appeared for the SSC 2017, the SSC releases recruitment notification to fill vacant posts in various ministries, departments, and organisations in the government.

The SSC CGL 2017 examination (Tier-I) 2017 was a computer-based examination, held from 5 August to 24 August at various centres across the country. Based on the results of CGL (Tier-I) Exam, 2017 the total number of candidates who are provisionally qualified for Tier-II and Tier-III are as follows:

Out of this, reports said, results of ten candidates with roll numbers 2201026842, 2201045468, 2201062554, 2201098871, 2201105924, 2201272135, 2201293503, 2201325697, 2402006180, 2402019194 have not been declared due to court orders.

Due to heavy traffic, the official website might be working slow. It is suggested that candidates view scores after some time. A total of 15,450 candidates have qualified SSC CGL 2017 Tier I, And the successful candidates will now be able to sit for Tier-II examination.

Candidates will be selected on the marks basis, SSC will take account of marks of the Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III to calculate the final score. Candidates have to pass all the tiers separately.

According to the report, a few candidates have started a Facebook campaign listing out their grievances, demanding normalisation of scores. They believe after analysing the answer keys, the questions were comparatively difficult for those who appeared in and before 16 August sessions.

All Passport holders in Deoband, Muzaffarnagar to go through Compulsory paper Re-verification

The UP government has issued a new drive to verify thousands of passports in Deoband and its neighboring districts of Saharanpur and Muzaffarnagar amid the reports of terror elements in the town. This directive was issued after the arrest of two suspected Bangladeshi terrorists who had succeeded to get Indian passports showing Deoband addresses. As per the police’s suspicion, the several members of the Pakistan and Bangladesh-based terror outfits are hiding in Deoband, which is the home to Darul Uloom Deoband.

According to the media reports, the state government has directed the District Magistrates to take stern action against all the Bangladeshi nationals living illegally in the state, especially after the arrest of the two Bangladeshi terrorists. The state government, on the other hand, also warned of strict action against those officials who are found guilty of issuing fake ID cards for Bangladeshi nationals while they illegally stay here. The probe is also being with an angle that some local policemen may be helping the alleged Bangladeshi terrorists in protecting the Indian passports.

“It’s not only about Deoband or any particular community. The verification of passport holders will take place in entire Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur owing to inputs we have received that a few terror modules could be hiding in the area,” Saharanpur DIG KS Emmanuel was quoted by saying as per media reports. The senior cop also revealed that the two suspected Bangladeshi terrorists got their passports made in Saharanpur. In August this year, a Bangladeshi national Abdullah Al-Mamon was arrested from Muzaffarnagar. He was suspected to be a member of banned terror outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), who is believed to have stayed in Deoband for some years.

Letter on Jet Airways flight: 12 hijackers on board, bomb in cargo

A Jet Airways Mumbai-New Delhi-bound flight 9W-339, carrying 115 passengers and seven crew members, was diverted to Ahmedabad Airport on Monday morning following an threatening letter was found onboard by an air hostess, claiming to blow off the plane. The menacing letter also added that there were 12 hijackers in the plane and it should be flown directly to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The flight, on the other hand, had taken off from Mumbai at 2.55 am and landed securely at Ahmadabad airport at 3.45 am.

The Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that the person behind the “bomb threat” on a Mumbai-Delhi flight had been identified and would be put on the no-fly list. “I am informed that the person responsible for Jet flight 339 (Mumbai-Delhi) incident causing the landing at Ahmedabad today morning has been identified,” the minister tweeted. The minister, however, not revealed the name of the individual, even though ANI reported a person named Salla Birju admitted his crime that he had kept the letter to disrupt operations. “I am advising airlines to put him on the no-fly list immediately, in addition to other statutory criminal action,” Raju said in another tweet.

All this havoc started when an air hostess found a “printed note” claiming that there was a bomb in the cargo area of the plane, a senior official of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) stated. A Jet spokesperson said, “Jet Airways flight 9W 339 of October 30, 2017, a Boeing 737-900 from Mumbai to Delhi, diverted to Ahmedabad following a declaration of an emergency as per established security procedures, due to the detection of an onboard security threat.” The airline also started a probe into the incident and asked a report on how the “letter” came inside the plane. The carrier added that “The aircraft landed without incident at Ahmedabad and was parked at a remote bay, where all 115 guests and 7 crew members were safely deplaned. Jet Airways is extending full cooperation to the security agencies who are investigating the matter”.

GST rate cut: GoM suggests tax on AC restaurants to be reduced to 12%

A group of ministers proposed on Sunday modifying the Goods and Service Tax rates for businesses eligible for the composition scheme, the PTI reported. The panel suggested that the tax rate on AC and Non-AC restaurants should be 12%. They also suggested that tax rate of 1% for traders and restaurants with an annual turnover of Rs 1 crore or less, which is 2% and 5% of their turnover as GST. By choosing the composition scheme, small taxpayers could avoid tiresome paperwork and pay GST at a fixed rate of their turnover.

The Group of Ministers (GoM) was headed by Assam’s Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. They also suggested that hotels with charges over 7,500 must be taxed 18%. These recommendations may be considered when the next GST Council meets, which is expected to be on 9-10 November. The Mint reported that the panel also recommended promoting more businesses to come under the composition scheme by increasing the yearly turnover threshold to Rs 1.5 crore. An official told PTI that “The GoM decided that tax rates under composition scheme for restaurants and manufacturers be lowered to 1 percent.  For traders, the ministerial group suggested two tax rates”. Besides Sarma, the GoM includes Jammu and Kashmir Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu, his Punjab counterpart Manpreet Singh Badal, Chhattisgarh Commercial Taxes Minister Amar Agrawal and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi.

According to a leading report, on Saturday in Delhi (Saket) a clash took place between two Nigerians gangs in a nursing home in Saket and turned violent, the number of gangs is on the rise across the country, as is gang-related violence, with no sign that it will let up anytime soon.

On Saturday morning in Saket’s Neelu Angel Nursing Home, the incident took place. After the clash, the hospital staff hide into the washrooms to save himself from them. As per the staffs’ information, at around 4 AM, three Nigerian men arrived at the hospital the men were badly wounded and more than a dozen other Nigerian men waited outside the hospital.

At the same time, another Nigerian man arrived in an auto and when the man entered the hospital premises. The men waiting outside spotted him and soon with their swords, knives started attacking members of the other gang. The security guard over there tried to handle the situation, he tried to stop them but he too was beaten up.

The hospital staff locked the gates of the hospital after the violence and hide in a bathroom to protect himself. The men over there fled the scene as the police arrived.

Aadhaar case: Supreme Court asks Centre to file response in 4 weeks on linking Aadhaar with mobiles

The apex court on Monday asked the Central government to submit a response on a plea challenging the compulsory linking of mobile numbers with Aadhaar numbers. The saffron party has been desperately demanding for the Aadhaar card to be mandatory and wants it to be linked with everything like pan card, bank accounts, driver’s license and mobile phones. A bench of Justice A K Sikri and Justice Ashok Bhushan gave the ultimatum of four weeks to the Centre to respond on the PIL filed by Raghav Tankha.

The Supreme Court has also issued notices to the telecom companies and Department of Telecom asserting on the compulsion of linking Aadhaar with mobile numbers. On the other hand, the court has given the time of four weeks to file their response for all the respondents. Prior to this, the court also criticized the West Bengal government for challenging the Aadhaar act. “How could the state government challenge a law passed by the Centre?” the court observed. The court further added that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee could challenge the Aadhaar law as an “individual” and a “citizen”. The court, on the other hand, also observed that “this way Centre would start challenging the laws passed by the States”.
