On the instructions of the father, a man from Pehowa tehsil of Kurukshetra brutally murdered his two minor nephews and a niece. A resident of Sarsa village, Jagdeep Malik (25), shot the kids on the back of their heads with a country-made pistol on Sunday night and thrown their bodies in an isolated forest of Morni hills near Sher Gujra village, has been arrested by the police.
On Tuesday morning, the bodies were recovered and the weapon has been also recovered. The killed kids were identified as Sameer (11), Simran (8) and Samar (4). The police have arrested Jagdeep Malik, who is the uncle of the children for the murder. When the police interrogated Jagdeep Malik, then he told the police about the location where the bodies had been thrown after committing a crime. While talking to the mediapersons at the general hospital, the Sarpanch of Sarsa Karamvir Singh said that the victims had bullet injuries at the back of their head. The accused Malik told the police that he first murdered Sameer and Simran and dumped their bodies in the forest area. Later, Samar was killed at a distance of about 1.5km towards Sher Gurjra village on the Morni-Raipur Rani road.
As per children’s grandfather Jeeta Ram Malik, his son Sonu Malik had extra-marital affairs with a Shimla-based woman and a fight also happened on the same in the family around six months ago. Malik said that Sonu was planning to get married to the woman but his children were coming in between as a hurdle for him. Later, Sonu conspired with children’s uncle Jagdeep Malik, who killed all kids. A Zila Parishad member of Kurukshetra, Baldev Singh, said that the family was informed at midnight by the police that they got some clue about the children. The police informed the family on Tuesday morning that the children had been killed and the bodies were thrown at Morni. He added that the police had picked up victims’ uncle Jagdeep Malik and father Sonu Malik around 10 pm on Monday night.
