The former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion Jinder Mahal said that it feels amazing to be back in India again. Prior to the epic clash with Triple H, WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal said is confident of bringing his best in front of the audience in New Delhi on Saturday. Mahal will face Triple H in the main event of the WWE India Live on December 9 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.
While speaking to indiatoday.in about his highly awaited match versus Triple H and the home support, Mahal said it’s great to be back again in India. “It’s a great feeling and as soon as I touch down, the Indian people, our fans, the WWE Live India 2017 here show us so much love, a passion that I cannot wait to feel it when I have the biggest match of my career against Triple H,” said Jinder. Jinder added that “He’s a legend. The Game, The King of Kings and I need this match to test myself. I need to see how far I’ve come. I need to test myself against the measuring stick. That is The Game Triple H. I need this match, not only to prove to myself but also the WWE Universe that I am the greatest WWE champion of all time”.
Jinder also added that Triple H will receive big support from the fans but he hopes they support him just a bit more. “The support is going to be the deciding factor, Triple H is very well conditioned, he’s very well experienced but I believe I can match Triple H strength-to-strength, technique-to-technique, speed-to-speed. The deciding factor is going to the WWE Universe. But people also love and respect Triple H. So it’s not gonna be like they are going to boo him. They’re going to cheer him also. But I’m hoping they’re going to cheer for me a little bit louder,” Jinder said. Jinder and Triple H have been involved in a war of words since the day CEO of the WWE challenged him for a WWE match in India.
“Match ban gaya hai…The match has been made. The biggest match in Indian history — Triple H versus Jinder Mahal. Triple H, we have seen more of you in the past few months than we have in the past few years and still you remain that same unstoppable force. But WWE in India, in my land and in front of my people, I become unstoppable. So Triple H…December 9th, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium…The King of Kings, The Game versus The Modern Day Maharaja and Triple H…you will bow down,” Jinder said.
Triple H, however, praised Jinder said IndiaToday.in that “He has earned my respect. Jinder was in WWE before, left when things didn’t go the way he wanted. He is back now and he has worked extremely hard. But when he steps into the ring with me, it’s a different story. My job will be to teach him a lesson of what it is like to face hell. He has to learn how to face defeat and come back from it. If he wants to earn my respect in India, he will fight and the Singh brothers will stay away. It will just be Jinder Mahal and The Game and we will see who the better man is”.
