After umpteen rumors for years, it seems like Shahrukh Khan’s Don 3 is expected to go on floors soon. The work on the script of Don’s third installment has finally started and it is speculated that the makers will give the final narration of the film to the superstar Khan in next few months in which he will be seen playing the titular role.
“We have locked the basic idea of the film and shared it with Shah Rukh Khan. The story this time around is set in the Middle East and a major chunk of the film would be shot in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The script is currently being worked on and we plan to go on floors sometime next year,” a close source to the development of the film said. Commenting on the Priyanka Chopra’s role in the film, the source said that “Since the story is set in a different region, it doesn’t warrant her character. We shall decide on the final casting of the film once the final script has been locked”.
The source added that “The two scripts that he is considering currently includes Salute and Don 3. There is a huge possibility of Salute going on floors before Don 3. He shall announce his next film only after finishing the shoot of Zero” when asked about if Don 3 will be Shahrukh Khan’s next film after ‘Zero’. The final local schedule of Zero is presently ongoing at a studio in Mumbai, after which the whole team will fly to New York for the last schedule of the film. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film is scheduled to release on Christmas this year. It also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead roles.
