17th Annual BET Award, Michelle Obama Makes Surprise BET

Before Chance the Rapper accepted the BET Humanitarian Award at the BET Awards tonight, Michelle Obama conveyed a recorded video message and addressed the rapper and enjoying his success. The Rapper was being honored with the Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic in his and the Former first lady’s house in Chicago. “Barack and I are so sorry that we can’t be there tonight in person. But please know we are there with you in spirit and we are so incredibly proud of you Chance,” said Obama.

“With these passionate efforts, Chance is showing our young people that they matter, that they have something inside of them that is worthy of being expressed, and they have so much to contribute to their community and our country. I can think of no better legacy to leave, and I am thrilled to celebrate you here to tonight and honored to call you my friend.” Find a snippet of her message below,” the former FLOTUS via video. After accepting the honor, Chance said, “To be receiving something like this at my age… it feels a little early to be getting something like this, but my God doesn’t make mistakes.”

The Rapper then started to address on government by saying that “Y’all need to let everybody out of jail for selling weed before y’all start making it legal for people to sell it and make capital off it! I was gonna tell the Chicago Public School system not to take out a loan from Chase Bank when they know that our schools are planning on failing in our district. I was gonna tell those judges that we just need a conviction when we know these niggas wrong for doing this”.

The Chance talked about his efforts for the Windy City School system and other charities despite his just an age of 24. “My God doesn’t make mistakes,” added the Rapper. In his motivating and self-acknowledged speech, Chance asserted that the justice system for detaining marijuana dealers before “you all make it legal” and the lack of a conviction in which was implemented to the cases of the murders of Samuel DuBose, Sylville Smith and Philando Castile by the cops.

Earlier tonight at the BET Awards, the host Leslie Jones said, “I want joy in this house”. After a high-energy opening number by Bruno Mars that made the crowd dancing, the opening monologue by the Saturday Night Live alum came after. The current BET CEO, producer Collins and past president of Programming Hill while accepting the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist Award, Mars said, “I want to thank Debra Lee for everything you do, Jessie Collins and a special shout-out to my friend Mr. Stephen Hill.” The five-time Grammy winner of Hill added that “Stephen, no matter where you go in life, I know you are going to find success because you got too much soul and too much passion”.

In the big and small screen nominations for the BET Awards being aired on various platforms of Viacom, the Gabrielle Union, Insecure’s Issa Rae, Viola Davis, Hidden Figures‘ Janelle Monáe and Taraji P. Henson were being nominated for the best actress. “Bryshere Y. Gray, Denzel Washington, Atlanta’s Donald Glover, Moonlight and Luke Cage’s Mahershala Ali and Omari Hardwick are running for the best actor award at tonight’s BET Awards. Films like the Washington-helmed and starred Fences, horror blockbuster, Get Out Hidden Figures, Oscar Best Picture winner Moonlight and 2016 Sundance winner The Birth of a Nation were running for the best movie nominations.

IIFA Award 2017 In New York, Karan Johar To Host

A well known director of Hindi film industry Karan Johar is going to host the upcoming IIFA Award 2017. This year the Bollywood will celebrate IIFA awards from July 13-15, in New York -gala night, it was announced on thusday.

Karan Johars’ “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” is nominated in the top list of all the movies, it has a chance to win in eight categories, followed by the “M.S Dhoni : The Untold Story” nominated for the seven categories.

A press conference was conducted by the bollywood stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kafe and Alia Bhatt just to reveal some of the details about the IIFA gala award. Later they all get together and move to five global cities London, New York, Dubai, Hutson and Chicago to promote the ceremony. Even Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput were also seen at Metlife Stadium promoting IIFA.

New York city, the city that never sleeps, is all set to witness the biggest and glamorous award show of Bollywood ,IIFA from July 13 to July 15. International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is the most prestigious award function for the world of Bollywood. IIFA awards is the way of honoring both artistic and technical excellence of this glamours world.

On Thursday, Dabang of Bollywood, Salman Khan along with two lovely ladies, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhat attended the official press conference of IIFA awards in Mumbai, where all the sponsors were introduced and trophy for IIFA was unveiled. Later, Salman Khan and two beautiful ladies attended the live video press conference for IIFA with the media of New York, Huston, Dubai, Chicago and London. Trios of Salman, Katrina and Alia graced the press conference by there presence and there interaction with each other and with media as well.

When asked, what is so different about this IIFA award, repeatedly, Salman Khan replied that, ” It will be the best ever IIFA because of the sheer scale, entertainment quotient and that he personally was looking forward for the experience. Commenting on the occasion, Salman Khan praised Katrina Kaif for her best dancing skills in the Bollywood and then later looking at Alia, he said that, “actually there is a tie going on between Alia and Katrina in the industry,” to which Alia replied that, ” I am terrible at dancing, I am just cute”, Salman Khan then said that he is even worse than her, he is not even cute.

Talking about her performance in IIFA, Katrina Kaif said that, ” It has been 5-6 years that I have been the part of the IIFA. They have the best stadium, the best set-up. I think the choreography for my performance is amazing and I am hoping this to be memorable.”

Alia, who is going to make her debut IIFA performance this year seemed to be quite excited about her debut. She has been nominated for her two films, Dear Zindgai and Udta Punjab and she is haapy about that too. Speaking of her performance in IIFA awards, Alia told media that, ” She is super excited about her performance in IIFA and can’t wait to hit the floors. I have already started preparing. I am even going to be dancing in my sleep.” “I can’t wait to go there and perform for the people,” she added.

Salman Khan, when asked about his performance in IIFA, he dodged the question in the best way by saying that’ ” No Idea, Only after I am done with the performance, I might have an idea of what I have done on the stage.”

This time IIFA rocks is going to celebrate the 25 years of Oscar-winning Music Composer and Singer, A.R Rahman in the industry. IIFA is all set to entertain the audience through a never seen before medley of singers like Neeti Mohan, Benny Dayal, Diljit Dosanjh, Jonita Gandhi and Haricharan Shesadri. To set the stage on fire, many megastars like Sushant Rajput, Kriti Sanon, Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and many others will perform in this IIFA.

This is the first time that an India event is going to take place in Metlife Stadium of New York. Ritesh Deshmukh and Mnaish Paul will host the event on the first day and second day the event Karan Johar will host the IIFA. The event will be aired on July, 16.

Mother's Day Celebration, Show your Love, Make Her Feel Special On This Day

Mother’s day is a day dedicated to all mothers that is being celebrated every year to honor the motherhood. Mother’s day is celebrated every year on second Sunday of May to remember and honor mother’s responsibilities in family and society.

Historically celebration of mother’s day originates from  ancient customs and traditions. The ancient Greek festival Cybele, who was great mother of Greek gods. The ancient Romans also had another holiday, Matronalia, that was dedicated to Juno who was considered as an ancient Roman goddess.. In Europe there were several traditions where a specific Sunday was set aside to honor motherhood and mothers such as Mothering Sunday which is a Christian festival celebrated throughout Europe.

Celebration of Mother’s Day started in the United States when Mother’s Day was Proclamation  by Julia Ward Howe. In 1870, the Proclamation was tied to Howe’s feminist belief that women had a responsibility to shape their societies at the political level.

The joy of celebrating Mother’s day with our mom is incredible to every human being, no matter how old we grow. There is intriguing about having a mother and being a mother.  To be in the lap of the mother is amazingly incomparable a feeling. Mother’s day is celebrated to  honor the beautiful creature of the Universe who has the  power to give birth to another life into. Being a mother is the biggest contributor of the human kind. Motherhood is incredible whether one get it from their biological mother or non- biological mother, No relationship in this world  can be as great as being a mother and having a mother.

Justin Bieber Concert In Mumbai, Was It Fail Or Successful?

The highly excited Justin Bieber maiden Indian concert that held last night at DY Patil stadium, Mumbai and in terms of attendance the concert was beyond the term successful. Bieber kept his half pants firmly  through the 90 minutes and  he threw his scarf to the fans at some point. Many Indians still enthralled with the magic that they saw last night in the concert but some of them express their disappointment and  restored to their social media account. His songs are easy on the public ears and the main themes of the concert is all  about love, never letting you go, never giving up, and needing you all tend to blend into a wholesome syrup.

The main cause that rage on social media was his poorly synced lipking , and also the performance in which he  absolutely put no effort. People expressed their disappointment because of all of this happened after the bizarre demand and the pocket burning tickets of the concert.

A twitter user spotted that the Bieber chewed the gum throughout the whole concert which was really not acceptable by the public. User tweeted, Bieber, you have got to make people believe that you are singing. Bieber’s show might have been the most magnificent concert held on Indian soil, but after this show Bieber did lose lot of its loyal fans who were really disappointed by some unexpected acts during the concert.

64th National Film Awards Winners: Here’s the complete list

On 7th April, the 64th National Film Awards were announced by the Directorate of Films. The results were quite interesting and shocking as well. For the very first time, Akshay Kumar bagged the Best Actor award for his movie ‘Rustom’ whereas Sonam Kapoor-starrer Neerja, directed by Ram Madhvani won the Best Hindi feature film. Besides this, the jury also made a special mention of Sonam Kapoor for her performance in ‘Neerja’. The jury was headed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan. He said that it’s a proud moment for him to be part of the jury. “It’s definitely an honor and a huge responsibility. I have close to 36 years of experience and have made 91 films, so I am hoping to put that to good use,” said the filmmaker.

Dashakriya bagged the best Marathi film, whereas Reservation was awarded as the best Kannada film. ‘Wrong Side Raju’ won the best Gujarati film award while the movie ‘Joker’ was declared as the best Tamil film. Ajay Devgn directed ‘Shivaay’ bagged the award for the best VFX. Talking about Akshay Kumar’s first national award, the jury felt that the actor portrayed the character perfectly in personal and social turmoil in the ‘Rustom’. Priyanka Chopra’s first venture in Marathi cinema as a producer with a film named as Ventilator also proved very successful at the 64th National Film Awards 2017. Rajesh Mapuskar bagged the best Director award for the film, whereas the movie also won two other awards, Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing. The director of the film Rajesh Mapuskar, who also wrote the movie (Ventilator) said that it’s like a dream come true for me. “I’m speechless! Winning a National Award for my debut Marathi film is nothing less than a dream come true. I’m really grateful to the entire team of Ventilator, especially producers Priyanka Chopra and Madhu Chopra, for backing the project and their belief in me,” Mapuskar said after winning the National Award.

The movie ‘Pink’ also bagged the Best film with a social message award. It stars Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the key roles. This courtroom drama movie was directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and produced by Shoojit Sarcar. The 64th National film Awards were full of excitement, surprises, and good films.
