Motorola has determined to do absent with the headphone jack in the Moto Z2 Force Edition, allowing it to reduce the thickness of the smartphone to 5.99mm.

When we come to camera specs of the phone, the Moto Z2 Play sports a 12-megapixel primary camera with a 1.4-micron pixel sensor, an aperture of f/1.7, a colour interrelated warmth (CCT) dual-LED flash, and laser and double auto focus lens. Recently Nokia 8 has arrived, in London, and in India it would arrive in September. With the Nokia 8, Nokia fans can finally look onward to a mixture of the company’s premium hardware with top of the line stipulation and 100 per cent stock Android. Previous, they only got the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3 — three phones that have more regular hardware and lower price.

Into the smart phone game Nokia’s comeback has been the stuff of legends, although whether it is going to be a success or not is something we will get to know in the coming year.

The Nokia 8 though is a flagship in every sense of the word. Well almost. It is lacking some features compared to the current crop of the top-end phones, but that is something we will tackle it, what it brings to the table is awaited.

The smartphone, which will retail for 599 Euros, aims to challenge the big boys of the smartphone world like the iphone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S8 with a price that is expected to be lower than what Apple or Samsung charge for their top phones.

  1.  With the Nokia 8, HMD Global has manages to create a smartphone that look modern whilst at the same time agreeably reminiscent of past Nokia smartphones. Nokia smartphones of old were always known for their plan and build superiority. The precision and concentration to detail are impressive. The Nokia 8 is crafted out of a single block of series 6000 aluminium and is just 7.3mm thin. The Nokia 8 is featured with the innovative heat management solution which is very much unique and that prevents the Snapdragon 835 processor from overheating.
  4.  One of the distinguishing features of Nokia’s entire Android smartphone line-up is the fact that it runs on a 100 per cent stock build of Android. Contrasting numerous OEM’s who greatly hide Android and fill the OS with bloat, Nokia believes in the motto – ‘Pure, secure and up-to date’. With Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and according to HMD Global Nokia 8 runs on stock, will be updated to Android O as and when it is released. Nokia this time is very confident and it claims that they will be amongst the first, if not the first non Google manufacturers to update their smartphones to Android O. Nokia is also promising monthly security updates for the Nokia 8, similar to what it provides Nokia 6 and other phones.
  5.  Carl Zeiss and Nokia’s partnership has given the customers many iconic camera phones like the Nokia N95 and Lumia 1020 in the past, the Nokia 8 with ZEISS optics – a 13MP primary color sensor paired with a 13MP monochrome sensor carries forward a dual camera setup at the rear. As per the claims of the secondary sensor improves low-light photography by capturing more data and also allows for the capture of depth information. The double camera setup comes with a dual-LED flash and phase detection autofocus and can record videos in 4K resolution. In the very first there is a 13MP sensor with ZEISS optics with phase detection autofocus and a display flash.
  6.  “Be less Selfie, be more #Bothie” – that is the marketing term used by HMD Global to sell the Nokia 8’s most unique and arguably most gimmicky feature. The Nokia 8 is the very first phone ever that allows ‘Dual-Sight’ video – video from both the front and rear camera at the same time – to be streamed at the right time to your social feeds such as YouTube. The Dual-Sight feature can also be used to take still pictures, even though it is probable that not all users will like it, some may love it.
  7.  The Nokia 8 has two features that will please audio enthusiasts out there. Not only does the smartphone come with a 3.5mm headphone jack- a port which is fast becoming extinct on flagships these days, it also has a feature called OZO Audio which basically allows you to capture 360 degree audio. How it works is simple -360 degree sound is captured via Nokia’s acoustic algorithms along with the smartphone’s three microphones. Nokia ensure that the sound is retained even when played back on devices without OZO Audio even thou claims that binaural codecs.
  8.  The Nokia 8 comes with an extremely high-resolution QuadHD display with a very high maximum brightness of 700 Nits. The display is 5.3-inches in size and comes with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection against nicks and scratches, while watching 2K content in apps like YouTube and also makes the phone VR ready. It is expected to make its way to Indian shores in the month of September itself for a price of Rs 39,999.The Nokia 8 has been priced at 599 Euros (roughly Rs 45,500) and will go on sale globally in September.
