KCET 2017 seat allotment result is expected to be out today. As the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) was about to release the seat result on 13th of June but KEA has issued the revised date schedule by confirming that 2017 CET seat allotment result will release now. And the notice is out that, “As per the directions of the Government, the schedule for first round of seat allotment given in the CET 2017 brochure has been revised.” So the dates of the first round seat allotment CET 2017 result is preponed.
As per the previous schedule, the announcement of the allotted seat with the fee structure was to be done on 14 June after 4 pm. But when the Higher Education departments requested the COMEDK authorities to postpone counselling dates, KEA decided to revise its own schedule. The request to postpone COMEDK counselling was made so that CET counseling for government quota engineering seats in private colleges was held before.
Students are concerned about there counselling because of change in the counselling date schedule as the private which are more expensive than the government colleges are holding counselling before, as COMEDK seats are three times more expensive than the government quota seats. And if the students accept the allotted seat by COMEDK before CET, then the student is left with the no choice but to accept the allotted by COMEDK. So keeping this thing in mind and taking more concern of the student KEA decided to revise the schedule for the first phase of allotment.
CET 2017 has mentioned in his initial brochure that once the result of first allotment is released after that the option entry will be deactivated for students from 15 June (11 am) to 23 June (11 am). But according to the revised schedule option entry will to be operational from 14th June (11 am) to 22nd June till (6 pm).
Even the publication of mock test has been preponed to 23 June which previously was about to be held on 24th of June. The result of the CET mock test will be published by KEA on the same day on the official website. And the release of real seat allotment will be done on 25th June, instead of 27th June. The thing which remain same is the date of reporting. Students are advised to report the allotted college on 30 June before 5.30 pm with a printed allotment letter.
The verfication process CET 2017 of the selected candidates will be completed by 21st June, As the verification process is carried by KEA currently, in 15 different help line centers.
