The Central Government has taken a big decision regarding ‘Aadhaar Card.’ Now the Aadhaar Card has been made mandatory to open the bank account in any bank, apart from this, Aadhaar card has been mandatory for the transition of 50,000 and above amount. If anyone wants to make the transition of Rs. 50,000 or above then it is necessary for them to submit there Aadhaar card number with that. Those who already hold bank accounts, should have to link their Aadhaar card with their bank accounts before 31st December.

The government has initiated this step to put a hold on corruption. Those who don’t have Aadhaar cards due to any reasons, they have the time of 6 months to get their Aadhaar card prepared, if anyone fails to link their Aadhaar card to their bank accounts before 31st December then those bank accounts would be considered illegal.

Till now, almost 80% of the population has Aadhaar card. Indian Unique Identification Authority (UIDAI) has issued more than one billion Aadhaar cards in five and a half years. Union Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad gave this information on Monday. “In the country more than 100 crore residents are registered under the Aadhaar. Aadhaar card is a way to reach the poor without middlemen,” said Prasad.

Let’s just hope, that this step of the central government helps to put leash on corruption.
