RBI to Issue New Notes of Rs 500, Check How it is Different From Older Notes

Once again RBI (Reserve Bank of India) is all ready to issue a new series of Rs. 500 denominations, earlier RBI issued the new series of Rs. 500 and 1000 at the time of demonetization. This time there is not much difference between the issued series of new Rs 500 and a series of 500 that was issued at the time of demonetisation.

The only difference between the recently issued series and the series issued at the time of demonetisation is the difference of the insets. Notes that were issued at time of demonetization had letter ‘E’ on the number pannel and now letter ‘E’ has been replaced by letter ‘A’ on the number panel.

Along with the signature of RBI governor Urjit Patel, year of printing 2017 will also be there on the currency. One more thing that makes this new series different from the other is the logo of ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’ on the other side of the note.

But the good news is that unlike demonetisation time, people don’t have to worry about the introduction of a new series in the market because Rs. 500 notes, that were introduced at time of demonetisation are still valid.
