Door Still Open for Donald Trump on Climate Change: FIJI PM


On Monday,  Voreqe Bainimarama, the Fijian Prime Minister said that the US had increased its leadership on climate change and the doors will always remains open for President Donald Trump to join the endeavour. Voreqe Bainimarama, the  President of the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties , COP 23 to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, UNFCCC made the remarks when he opened the Partnership meeting on Climate Action of Pacific.

The news agency, Xinhua reported that  a clear statement for a rededication to the endeavour is being made by him as he welcomed around 300 delegates from all across the Pacific.

The leader of Fijian told delegates that they will do everything which could be possible to stand up for them in the  forums of the world to fight with the climate change and his country was with them. There would be refugees of climate change, he said. The people of Tuvalu and Kiribati don’t need worry because Fiji would take them in.

In the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties  meeting have a collective Pacific agenda that Voreqe Bainimarama has endorsed the Under 2 Coalition with the appointment of Jerry Brown,  who is the Governor of California and was a Special  Envoy to the States in COP 23 and Regions. The enterprise deploy around  180 sub national governments to do their part to tackle climate change around the world.
